Client Eligibility Requirements
A valid Land Title, Lease Agreement, or Letter of Authority from a registered landowner is mandatory before commencing any construction project. Without confirmed site tenure, Fundred cannot proceed to technical assessment or costing. Assistance with land verification is available through our Consultancy arm.
Fundred's minimum construction engagement value is UGX 250,000,000 (~$65,000 USD). Clients must confirm a preliminary budget range to allow our technical team to calibrate resource allocation and team composition appropriately. This does not need to be a precise figure - a range is sufficient.
For government and public sector engagements, clients must provide a Letter of Authority or Procurement Notice. For private clients, a Certificate of Incorporation or Business Registration Certificate is required. All construction work is compliant to Uganda's Physical Planning Act and building regulations.
Any existing architectural drawings, structural reports, geotechnical studies, topographic surveys, or BOQ documents should be shared upfront. Providing this significantly reduces the diagnostic phase and accelerates proposal quality. All data is handled under strict NDA and secure cloud infrastructure.

What to Prepare Before Engaging
A clear Terms of Reference (TOR) or Concept Note defining the engagement objectives, desired outcomes, and scope boundaries. Without clearly stated objectives, the Strategic Alignment Discovery session cannot be effectively calibrated to your organisation's specific KPIs. Fundred provides a TOR template on request.
An approximate budget range allows Fundred's technical team to optimise resource allocation in the proposal. This does not need to be a precise figure in a range is sufficient to ensure the proposed methodology and team composition are appropriately scaled to the engagement value.
Identification of internal decision-makers, technical leads, and any external parties (investors, government liaisons, board members) whose sign-off is required during the engagement. This allows Fundred to structure stakeholder communication and reporting cadences from day one.
Any existing feasibility studies, operational reports, financial analyses, or historical data relevant to the assignment. Providing this upfront significantly reduces the diagnostic phase and accelerates proposal quality. All data is handled under strict NDA and ISO-compliant secure cloud infrastructure.

Technical Prerequisites for Integration
A valid operating license from UMRA (Uganda Microfinance Regulatory Authority) for Tier 4 institutions, or a Bank of Uganda (BOU) Payment Service Provider (PSP) license for financial institutions processing electronic payments. This is a regulatory prerequisite in Fundred's platform cannot be deployed to unlicensed entities handling public funds.
Clean, digital records of your existing membership or client base in CSV or SQL formats are required before integration begins. If records are currently in manual ledgers, Fundred's Digital Onboarding team can assist with migration - however, this adds time to the onboarding timeline and should be disclosed during the Technical Pre-Assessment.
Appointment of a Data Protection Officer (DPO) as required under Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019. The DPO will be the formal point of contact for all compliance verification, AML (Anti-Money Laundering) procedures, and ongoing data governance obligations throughout the integration and post-deployment period.
Stable internet connectivity for cloud-synchronisation and basic hardware (tablets or PCs) for point-of-service data entry are required. Note: Fundred's mobile applications feature a "Store-and-Forward" capability for agents in rural areas with intermittent connectivity - data captured offline syncs automatically when a connection is restored.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Our infrastructure is built to meet the rigorous security and reporting standards mandated by the NPS Act (2020) and NITA-U certification requirements. Fundred's compliance team actively monitors regulatory updates from the Bank of Uganda and UMRA to ensure ongoing adherence without service disruption to our clients.
We specialise in "Digital Onboarding." Our team assists in the migration of manual ledgers into our secure cloud environment before activating the credit scoring and automated lending modules. The migration process includes data cleaning, validation, and parallel-running to ensure zero data loss during the transition period.
Yes. Our mobile applications feature a "Store-and-Forward" capability, allowing agents to capture data offline - including loan applications, repayments, and member registrations - which automatically syncs with the master cloud ledger once a connection is re-established. This was specifically engineered for Uganda's last-mile financial inclusion challenges.
We offer a tiered pricing model: a flat monthly platform fee for SACCO management and a competitive percentage-based fee for external mobile money integrations. The exact fee structure is disclosed during the Technical Pre-Assessment and is governed by the Integration Agreement. There are no hidden setup fees - all costs are itemised before the contract is signed.
